Review--Enthralled by YA Paranormal Authors

A journey may take hundreds of miles, or it may cover the distance between duty and desire.

Sixteen of today’s hottest writers of paranormal tales weave stories on a common theme of journeying. Authors such as Kelley Armstrong, Rachel Caine, and Melissa Marr return to the beloved worlds of their bestselling series, while others, like Claudia Gray, Kami Garcia, and Margaret Stohl, create new land-scapes and characters. But whether they’re writing about vampires, faeries, angels, or other magical beings, each author explores the strength and resilience of the human heart.

Suspenseful, funny, or romantic, the stories in Enthralled will leave you moved.

This has to be one of my fave YA anthologies ever! I haven't read too many of them honestly though, but when I saw the author lineup for this one I knew I had to have it! Enthralled was pretty amazing! And since this is an anthology, I'll just briefly break down the stories in super short reviews:

Giovanni's Farewell by Claudia Gray
Twins Ravenna and Cairo develop strange powers. While on a trip to Italy with their schoolmates--some field trip!--Ravenna's powers come into action and she and her brother must help a ghost move on by fulfilling his dying request. 3.5/5 stars

An amazing anthology! The stories were all good! Some deeply emotional and others a bit confusing at times, but a few of them may have been due to the fact that I haven't read any of the books prior to the anthology! My absolute faves got 5/5 stars! Those were the best of the best!

Overall rating 4/5 stars

  1. Wow, Jessica. Thanks for such a thorough review. I've wondering what Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia's work would be like if they wrote separately. Seems like for Stohl, it didn't work out so great.

With so many authors represented here, looks like you can't go wrong with this anthology. It would give me the chance to read work by authors I have been meaning to try out for a while.

  2. Yes, thanks for such a great review! The only books I've read of those so far was the Melissa Marr series Wicked Lovely which I absolutely loved. I can only imagine how confusing it would be if you haven't read any of the other books in these series.
