Quckie Review--Summer's Crossing by Julie Kagawa

A Midsummer's Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon's right hand, bane of many a faery queen's existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl's death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.

Now Ash has granted one favor too many and someone's come to collect, forcing the prince to a place he cannot go without Puck's help—into the heart of the Summer Court. And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist.

An ebook exclusive novella from Julie Kagawa's
Iron Fey series.

Julie Kagawa's Summer's Crossing was a fun quick read that has Puck and Ash on a quest, that deviates from their main mission to find Grimalkin, for Ash owes a favor to the Queen of Exiles.

Told from Puck's p.o.v. in the first person, it was quite the entertaining read! If you've read the previous novels, you know Puck's humor and what his character is like. It was rather fast paced too since it's less than 50 pages, yet there's still enough of a story to really hook you in.
When Ash and Puck realize what exactly the Queen wants back from the Summer Queen, they realize they are in way over their heads, but never free! Puck is here! Puck always has a plan! And the novella never fails to throw in a surprise or two!

Overall this was a fun quick read that only makes me more excited for The Iron Knight later this year and one I recommend reading too if you like the series! And right now, you can get the e-book for FREE here

Overall rating 5/5 stars
