Cover Art--Victoria Laurie

I was thinking of doing some preordering shopping at Amazon since I have a gift card to use and I saw the cover art--so it could just be potential--for Victoria Laurie's next Psychic Eye mystery, Vision Impossible! And this time around the book will be a hardcover. Kind of bummer moneywise, but no way am I waiting longer to get back to Abby!

Abby Cooper's next mission may truly be impossible...

Abby Cooper, the FBI's newest Civilian Profiler, is adding Spy to her resume. The military's digital photography software that captures one's aura- just like Abby can-sits in a drone aircraft that's been stolen. It's a major breach in security as every country's leader can be identified by their aura...

Abby springs into action to stop the criminals before they set their diabolical plan into motion, while making herself a prime target.

2. Visit other blogs in the Linky List! Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
3. Post about the Hop on your blog! Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier!
4. In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!):

"Do you ever wish you would have named your blog something different?"

MY ANSWER: Uh...not really. I kind of like my blog name. I'm not sure what I would have named it otherwise. a GREAT read flows off the tongue easier. I might have chosen something more long and not as easy to repeat or something. Nothing real difficult, just that it wouldn't "flow". :)

This is a weekly blog meme created by Parajunkee's View.

This week's question is: Share your current fav television show! Tell us a bit about it...

MY ANSWER: Ooh tough one. I don't watch a lot of TV, I usually have it on real low when reading or whatever, but I guess my fave show would either be Supernatural or Psych! Psych is only on during the summers so it's a long time before I get to watch it again. James Roday is very funny, he pretends to be psychic and helps the police solve crimes. Kind of like The Mentalist except more comedy! And geek that I am in every season, possible not the last one--can't really remember--there has always been 1 episode with a reference to Jaws! (one of my fave movies!)

I've hit 200 followers today!! You know what that means?

Yup! A contest! I should have one up by the weekend! Be sure to stop back then!

Cover Art--Kasey MacKenzie

Here's the cover art for Kasey MacKenzie's next release Green-Eyed Envy! This one releases June 28, 2011. No BOC description yet! Will post once I find it!

I kind of like it. It's got a familiar feel like the first book did, so you know that the two are connected in the same series!
First Book Cover:

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog post by Jill over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights releases we're eagerly awaiting.

So my next release I can't wait to read is the third and final book in The Vampire Diaries: The Return series, or the Damon books as they are also known as.

Had heard somewhere that L.J. won't be writing the books anymore because the publisher isn't liking the Elena-Damon thing or something to that fact, so another writer might take over. Again, not 100% sure on that, it was just something I remember hearing in the blogging world. I definitely won't be reading any more of these if L.J. isn't the author.

The devil you know . . .

With the help of charming and devious Damon, Elena rescued her vampire love, Stefan, from the depths of the Dark Dimension. But neither brother returned unscathed.

Stefan is weak from his long imprisonment and needs more blood than Elena alone can give him, while a strange magic has turned Damon into a human. Savage and desperate, Damon will do anything to become a vampire again—even travel back to hell. But what will happen when he accidentally takes Bonnie with him?

Stefan and Elena hurry to rescue their innocent friend from the Dark Dimension, leaving Matt and Meredith to save their hometown from the dangerous spirits that have taken hold of Fell's Church. One by one, children are succumbing to demonic designs. But Matt and Meredith soon discover that the source of the evil is darker—and closer—than they ever could have imagined. . . .

Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly blog post by MizB over at Should Be Reading.

A little late since I had planned on reading This Side of the Grave, but when I went to the store, they hadn't gotten it yet! Or any of my other releases, have to head back out later today.

So I went with one of my e-galleys and started The Deadliest Bite by Jennifer Rardin! The first few sentences had me cracking up so here it is.

Here are the rules:
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a page
3. Pick out 2 lines that are SPOILER FREE
4. Name the title, author, etc.

"I'll say one thing about walking around with a rubber band up your asscrack--it helps train you for torture.

'They call them thongs,'." p 7 (page comes from my e-ARC, therefore it and quote are not final)

Cover Art--Cheyenne McCray

Couldn't remember if I shared this cover art or not. Saw it today again and it distantly rang a bell, but decided to post it again even if I did.

Cheyenne McCray's Zombies Sold Separately is a pretty anticipated release for me, just because in the past 3 books Nyx has said how much she HATES Zombies. Hence my excitement for this one!

Nyx hates Zombies. Seriously. Hates. Zombies. Ever since she was a youngling, she's been haunted by them. And even though she's a big girl now—a half-human, half-Drow private eye, to be precise—Nyx bristles at the mere thought of the walking dead.

Meanwhile, the corpses of humans and paranorms alike are turning up all over New York City. Now it's up to Nyx to find out who—or what—is behind this series of horrific attacks. But it's only a matter of time before Nyx is drawn deeper into her darkest fears...and her worst nightmare about meeting a real, flesh-and-blood-hungry, body-snatching Zombie comes blindingly to life. Or death...

This one releases May 24, 2011! And then the NEXT Night Tracker novel, Vampires Dead Ahead releases in the fall some time. No info as of yet but will post once I hear something!

Review--A Brush of Darkness by Allison Pang

THE MAN OF HER DREAMS MIGHT BE THE CAUSE OF HER NIGHTMARES

Six months ago, Abby Sinclair was struggling to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. Now, she has an enchanted iPod, a miniature unicorn living in her underwear drawer, and a magical marketplace to manage. But despite her growing knowledge of the OtherWorld, Abby isn’t at all prepared for Brystion, the dark, mysterious, and sexy-as- sin incubus searching for his sister, convinced Abby has the key to the succubus’s whereabouts. Abby has enough problems without having this seductive shape-shifter literally invade her dreams to get information. But when her Faery boss and some of her friends vanish, as well, Abby and Brystion must form an uneasy alliance. As she is sucked deeper and deeper into this perilous world of faeries, angels, and daemons, Abby realizes her life is in as much danger as her heart—and there’s no one she can trust to save her.

I had heard many positive things about Allison Pang's debut A Brush of Darkness, so I decided to give it a try and it was as expected. Which was quite good!

There's definitely quite a bit of snark in here, which is probably due to Allison being a member of the League for Reluctant Adults! Her sidekick, a horny unicorn named Phineas has a tendency to lounge around in her underwear drawer. He's definitely not what Abby expected from a unicorn!

But Abby's got quite a conundrum on her hands when her boss goes missing along with a slew of other supes, including an incubus' sister. Which is what leads Brystion to Abby's door.

Abby reluctantly agrees to help Brystion out and find his sister since her boss and others are in the same boat, and they all might possibly have a link that ties their disappearances together.

This was a well paced book filled with quite a few surprises. The humor was very good, nice and snarky! And there was some romance, a little more than what I was used to, but it was still intertwined nicely so that it didn't feel forced or anything.

The ending kind of leaves you wondering rather than hanging, there are still a few things left unsolved at the end, but not too much that was directly linked to the case.

Overall a good read for a debut! 4/5 stars!

In My Mailbox

I had really good luck with NetGalley this week!

I got:

The Deadliest Bite by Jennifer Rardin

The Vampire Dimitri by Colleen Gleason

The Restorer by Amanda Stevens

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

Then my copy of Death's Sweet Embrace by Tracey O'Hara came in the mail! Had to have my own copy to keep even though I read it already!

Can't wait to read all of them!! And of course next week's IMM should be superb what with all the books that release on Tuesday. My credit card is going to get quite a work out! (Although I did preorder a few of the titles already as the warmup!)

This week's topic is: FAVORITE FANTASY MOVIES

This is a little harder because my definition of Fantasy may differ from another's. Plus a few that I do really like, aren't always movies. So these won't be in any special order!

**By clicking the title you will be taken to IMDB.com for movie info.

THE 10TH KINGDOM (a mini series from 2000)

ALICE (another mini series from 2009)
Totally LOVED Andrew Lee Potts!

And what is bound to be another fave in a few more weeks:
