*Review--E-ARC Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton*

First there are nightmares.

Every night Ellie is haunted by terrifying dreams of monstrous creatures that are hunting her, killing her.

Then come the memories.

When Ellie meets Will, she feels on the verge of remembering something just beyond her grasp. His attention is intense and romantic, and Ellie feels like her soul has known him for centuries. On her seventeenth birthday, on a dark street at midnight, Will awakens Ellie's power, and she knows that she can fight the creatures that stalk her in the grim darkness. Only Will holds the key to Ellie's memories, whole lifetimes of them, and when she looks at him, she can no longer pretend anything was just a dream.

Now she must hunt.

Ellie has power that no one can match, and her role is to hunt and kill the reapers that prey on human souls. But in order to survive the dangerous and ancient battle of the angels and the Fallen, she must also hunt for the secrets of her past lives and truths that may be too frightening to remember.

Courtney Allison Moulton's Angelfire was a GREAT read! I haven't read too many angel themed books, but this one was just awesome!!

Ellie really does seem like your typical teen, until her seventeenth birthday comes around and everything goes haywire, including the mysterious cute guy she's been seeing hanging around wherever she's at. She feels like she knows him and yet can understand where these feelings are coming from.

The action picks up rather quickly as the next day after meeting this strange guy, one of her teachers is brutally murdered. And that's when everything slowly falls apart in what was Ellie's average life.

She encounters a terrifying creature, one that she isn't even sure is real no less what it is, and then out of nowhere the mysterious Will appears and awakens her as the BOC describes and suddenly strange memories return to Ellie. Ones that she's not sure how she remembers, only that they are true, they are real.

Ellie has a destiny that will change everything she has ever known about herself and Will is apart of it. Yet, Will still hides secrets from her. Secrets that could be important to her remembering what it is she should be remembering.

Ellie was a wonderful character because I found her to really be more like a real teenager. She wasn't overly popular, or super-super smart, she was really just your average girl. She had great friends and parents who weren't exactly normal, in fact her family life leads me to wonder if there is something else going on that might entwine itself into future books. I just had this feeling, but it could be off.

There were some great little twists here and there too in the romance area, which really bespoke of high school romance in some ways, but it was done nicely. I mean it wasn't cheesy and I was LOLing out loud, it was done in a really good way so that you almost sympathize with Ellie.

This was truly a GREAT read. Wicked awesome! One of the best angel books I've read so far! And there were several little secrets and surprises along the way that made it a fast read that I could hardly put down! Looking forward to the next one, which may be awhile!

Overall I give the book 4.5/5 stars!
